Netflix announces return of Lupin series with fourth season
The popular French suspense series ‘Lupin’ is set to return to Netflix on October 23, 2026, with its fourth installment. The new season will consist of eight episodes, all available for streaming simultaneously on the release date.
Set four years after the events of the previous season, the story follows Assane Diop, portrayed by Omar Sy. While Assane is currently in prison and attempting to serve his sentence to reunite with his family in Senegal, a mysterious series of museum heists signed with the name ‘Lupin’ threatens his freedom. Evidence, including surveillance footage, appears to implicate him in the crimes, including an incident where Captain Belkacem was seriously injured. To prove his innocence and uncover the person impersonating him, Assane must escape and reclaim his identity as the gentleman thief.
Omar Sy reprises his lead role, joined by a returning cast including Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Soufiane Guerrab, and Shirine Boutella. The series remains inspired by the literary character Arsène Lupin created by Maurice Leblanc.
