Netflix to give KPop Demon Hunters 2 a wide theatrical release

Netflix plans to give the animated sequel ‘KPop Demon Hunters 2’ a wide theatrical release in addition to its streaming debut. Following the massive success of the first film, the company aims to expand the reach of the franchise, which features characters Rumi, Mira, and Zoey.

During an event in Los Angeles, Netflix Co-CEO Ted Sarandos confirmed that the sequel is expected to have a broad cinema launch. He noted that the company is evaluating how to best serve film fans who prefer the big screen while simultaneously managing the film's global positioning and maintaining its value to the Netflix streaming platform.
