Netflix to release crime drama inspired by Mariusz Trynkiewicz

Netflix has announced a new four-part drama series titled ‘Prawo bestii’ (Law of the Beast), inspired by the high-profile criminal cases of Mariusz Trynkiewicz. The production is not a traditional biography or documentary, but a drama focusing on the criminal, legal, and social consequences of the events.

The story begins in 1988 following the murder of four boys. The investigation is led by Major Anna Bersz, played by Agnieszka Grochowska, while psychiatrist Agnieszka Grabska, played by Agnieszka Żulewska, assesses the sanity of the suspect. The narrative then jumps 25 years forward to examine the implications of the perpetrator’s sentence ending and the state's ability to isolate individuals deemed a threat even after serving their time.

Directed by Kasper Bajon, the series is scheduled for release on November 18, 2026.
