Netflix Polish crime drama production

Overview

Netflix has announced the release of a new four-part crime drama titled ‘Prawo bestii’ (Law of the Beast), scheduled for November 18, 2026.

Inspired by the criminal cases of Mariusz Trynkiewicz, the series is not a traditional biography but a drama exploring the criminal, legal, and social consequences of the events. The narrative begins in 1988 following the murder of four boys and features an investigation led by Major Anna Bersz, played by Agnieszka Grochowska, alongside psychiatrist Agnieszka Grabska, played by Agnieszka Żulewska. The story later jumps 25 years forward to examine the implications of the perpetrator’s sentence ending and the state's capacity to isolate individuals deemed a threat after serving their time. The production is directed by Kasper Bajon.
