Netflix to release ‘Love Recharge’ starring Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin

Netflix has announced the release date for the original Korean romantic comedy series ‘Love Recharge’, set to premiere on October 9. The drama is based on a popular web novel and marks the first romantic comedy venture for director Park Soo-won, known for ‘Drunk City Women 2’ and ‘Postpartum Fever’.

The story follows Baek Ho-rang, played by Kim Young-kwang, a chaebol third-generation executive facing a crisis as his artificial heart battery depletes. He encounters Na Bo-bae, played by Chae Soo-bin, a drama writer with the unique ability to generate electricity after being struck by lightning as a child. Because Baek Ho-rang is immune to her electrical shocks, the two enter into a ‘physical contact contract’ to help recharge his heart before his next surgery.
