Netflix's Minerva Academy teen drama set to debut September 22, 2026

The Italian series Minerva Academy, a teen drama set in a strict military high school in Naples, will launch worldwide on Netflix on 22 September 2026. The eight‑episode season follows students Salvo, Vincenzo and Camilla as they navigate rigid discipline, forbidden romances and a mystery surrounding a missing classmate. Veteran actor Luigi Zeno portrays the enigmatic student Leonardo, adding a notable performance to the ensemble.

Directed by Ivan Silvestrini and inspired by the real Nunziatella academy, the show depicts early‑morning flag‑raising, confiscated phones and intense training routines. Adult characters, including commander Achille Giordano, are also featured, highlighting generational conflicts within the institution. The series will be available in its original Italian with subtitles in multiple languages, including a French‑language version for France.
