Netherlands approves €13 million military export to Morocco

The Dutch government has authorized a €13 million military export to Morocco, providing two unmanned surface vessels (USVs) for the Royal Moroccan Navy. The authorization, detailed in official documentation, includes necessary sensors, control systems, spare parts, training, and technical assistance to ensure the vessels are properly commissioned.

The vessels are specifically configured for anti-submarine warfare and mine countermeasures operations. According to the Dutch government's evaluation, the design of these platforms makes them unsuitable for other tasks without significant modifications. Any armament included is intended solely for self-defense and the execution of their specific mission profiles.
