Netherlands art scene features free Wolfheze café and new painting‑attribution research

On 22 May, Kunstdorp Wolfheze hosted a free art‑café evening called "VinDoré" in the village hall on Duitsekampweg. The duo Dorian Korts and Vincent Sprakel guided visitors through open discussions about personal taste, historical context and societal perspectives on art, using interactive formats to make conversation accessible.

Separately, Charlotte Rulkens defended her PhD at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, presenting a systematic approach to painting‑attribution research. Her work replicates earlier studies on Rembrandt and Rubens, critiques past expert processes, and introduces the Attribution Expert Consensus Meeting (A‑ECM) to improve transparency and collaboration, with case studies from the Mauritshuis in The Hague and the Germanisches Nationalmuseum in Nuremberg.
