Netherlands child benefit increases starting October 1
Starting October 1, parents in the Netherlands will receive increased child benefit payments. While the increase was announced earlier this year, it was not reflected in the July payment, which covered the second quarter under the previous rates.
The new quarterly amounts, which cover the period of July, August, and September, vary based on the age of the children:
• Children aged 0 to 5: €298.40 per quarter • Children aged 6 to 11: €362.35 per quarter • Children aged 12 to 17: €426.29 per quarter
The increase per child ranges from approximately €3.33 to €4.76 per quarter, depending on their age group.
