Netherlands commemorates All Saints and All Souls Day 2026

Various parishes and communities across the Netherlands are organizing commemorations for All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day on November 1 and 2, 2026. Due to All Saints' Day falling on a Sunday, many Old Catholic parishes are integrating the celebrations into Sunday services.

In Amsterdam and Aalsmeer, ceremonies include grave blessings at Sint Jozef cemetery and Requiem Masses. Hilversum’s St. Vitus church will host an open gathering for lighting candles and sharing stories, while the Paradijskerk in Rotterdam and churches in Delft, Alkmaar, IJmuiden, and Arnhem are also hosting memorial services and musical remembrances.

In Wagenborgen, a specific commemoration titled “Colors of Memory” will take place at the Hoofdweg cemetery on November 2. The event features candle lighting, the offering of white chrysanthemums, musical performances by the In Corpore music association, and poetry readings.
