Netherlands football team trains with fit squad before friendly against Algeria

The Dutch national team, coached by Ronald Koeman, completed a final training session with a 25‑player fit squad ahead of Wednesday’s friendly against Algeria at De Kuip. Defender Jurriën Timber remains absent due to injury and full‑back Denzel Dumfries is suspended. Reserve‑list players Ian Maatsen and Lutsharel Geertruida also joined the drill.

The session in Zeist was partially open to media, followed by a press conference at 14:30. The match, sold out, serves as a farewell to the current squad before the World Cup. After the game the team will travel to New York for a training camp and a June 8 friendly with Uzbekistan. The Netherlands’ World Cup campaign begins on June 14 with a group‑stage match against Japan in Dallas, followed by Sweden and Tunisia.
