Parkfeest in Oosterhout draws thousands to Slotpark

The Oosterhout Parkfeest took place over the weekend of 1–2 June at Slotpark. On Saturday 2 June, 2,400 of the 2,500 tickets were sold, virtually filling the venue. Performances included live sets by Sem Rozendaal and Matthijs Koning, as well as tribute acts covering Golden Earring and Helene Fischer. Good weather contributed to a relaxed atmosphere.

Sunday continued the family‑friendly programme with activities such as face painting, inflatable castles, a mini‑carousel, street theatre, a large dinosaur display and a novelty bathtub act. A new “meezingcantus” invited both children and adults to sing together, followed by a set from Sanne Segers, winner of De Nieuwe Strot. Around 250 volunteers helped run the event, ensuring smooth operation for the thousands of visitors.

The Parkfeest combined music, entertainment and community involvement, making it a notable local cultural event in Oosterhout.
