Netherlands: Jetten cabinet trust falls to 16 percent

Public confidence in the Dutch minority cabinet led by Rob Jetten has dropped to 16 percent, according to an RTL Nieuwspanel poll. Leaked documents from Prinsjesdag indicate that higher-income earners are expected to contribute approximately 750 million euros more, while the government has allocated 1.5 billion euros for purchasing power repairs. Critics and economic commentators have noted that the tax system is becoming increasingly progressive, with even center-right figures such as CDA leader Henri Bontenbal advocating for higher inheritance taxes.
