Netherlands low‑threshold mental health support points rise to 337 in 2026

The Loket Laagdrempelige Steunpunten, a collaboration of MIND, Significant and Pluut & Partners, published a mid‑year monitor of low‑threshold mental‑health support points in the Netherlands. The report shows the number of such points increased from 318 in 2025 to 337 in 2026, and it categorises the various types, including specialised points for youth or eating‑disorder patients.

In related developments, a new German‑language psychology guide titled “Psychology for Dummies”, now in its fifth edition and authored by Adam Cash, was released on 26 July 2026. The book covers basic concepts ranging from cognitive to forensic psychology and addresses questions about the biological basis of behavior, emotional measurement, and mental‑illness definitions.
