Netherlands roadworks close N201 sections and unveil new Heulbrug in Vinkeveen

The Province of North Holland is carrying out night‑time maintenance on the N201 corridor, closing the Amstelaquaduct between Uithoorn and De Ronde Venen from 25 June 20:00 to 26 June 05:00 and the Waterwolftunnel near Aalsmeer on 26‑27 June and 27‑28 June. Traffic is being detoured via the A2, A4, A9 and nearby N231/N232 routes to keep the regional connection flowing.

In the municipality of De Ronde Venen, the upgraded Heulbrug and the renovated Herenweg in Vinkeveen were officially opened on 18 June. The bridge received a new deck, coating and a caretaker’s house, while the Herenweg was resurfaced, repaved and fitted with new utilities. Councilor Anja Vijselaar highlighted the improvements for safety and accessibility, and the works also included refurbishment around a local war monument.

Both projects aimed to minimise disruption for local residents and commuters while enhancing long‑term road safety and infrastructure quality.
