Netherlands to supply unmanned combat vessels to Morocco

The Netherlands has approved a 13 million euro military agreement to supply unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) to the Royal Moroccan Navy. The deal, documented by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, includes a comprehensive package of maritime systems and associated technology.

The approved shipment consists of combat vessels based on a common naval platform, configured with two specialized technological packages for distinct operational missions. The first package is designed for mine warfare, including systems for the exploration, detection, and clearing of waterways and ports. The second package is dedicated to anti-submarine warfare, utilizing sonar and sensors to track and detect underwater threats near coastal access points.

The agreement features a modular architecture allowing for functional flexibility, a unified central control station for managing both vessels, spare parts, technical documentation, training programs, and ongoing technical support.
