Netherlands weather warnings issued for thunderstorms and wind

The Netherlands is facing unsettled autumn weather, with the KNMI issuing yellow code warnings for several regions due to thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong wind gusts.

In the northern regions and Groningen, Saturday is expected to bring scattered showers with the potential for lightning, hail, and wind gusts reaching 60-80 km/h. Temperatures will remain around 14°C. While Sunday may see some sunshine breaking through, showers remain possible.

In the Achterhoek and Gelderland regions, rain and wind are also prominent, with high probabilities of precipitation throughout the day. Conditions are expected to stabilize starting Monday, as a high-pressure system moves in, bringing drier weather and slightly warmer temperatures between 15°C and 16°C.
