Neuquén expands electricity tariff subsidies to entire province

The Neuquén provincial government has expanded the 'Tarifa Neuquina' electricity subsidy to cover the entire province. This decision aims to eliminate territorial imbalances caused by the previous program design and ensure financial stability for utility distributors.

Carlos Quintriqueo, Vice President of the CALF cooperative, expressed support for the measure, noting that provincial treasury contributions are essential to prevent the financial exhaustion of service providers. He stated that the intervention helps cooperatives maintain and improve electrical infrastructure and service continuity for residents.
