Cristina Kirchner's residence faces official judicial embargo
The Tribunal Oral Federal N°2 has officially notified the Real Estate Registry of a precautionary embargo on the apartment located at San José 1111, where former President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner is currently serving her sentence. This judicial measure follows a request from prosecutor Diego Luciani as part of the asset seizure phase of the Vialidad case.
The embargo targets assets registered to Los Sauces S.A. and Hotesur S.A., companies in which Máximo and Florencia Kirchner hold shares. The legal action aims to preserve assets to reach a total forfeiture of approximately 685,000 million pesos, representing the updated economic damage from the case. The court noted that this embargo does not imply the immediate eviction of the current occupants.
In addition to the San José property, the judicial order includes various other assets, such as real estate in the Madero Center complex in Buenos Aires, and properties in El Calafate and Río Gallegos. The case stems from Kirchner's conviction for fraudulent administration regarding public works contracts in Santa Cruz between 2003 and 2015.
