Nevada tungsten projects advance drilling and assay programs

Viking Mines (ASX:VKA) has mobilised a reverse‑circulation drill rig to commence the maiden drilling program at the Linka Tungsten Project in Nevada. The rig is being transported to the site, with field teams preparing drill pads, and the first hole is slated for the week of 27 July, subject to weather and site conditions. The program will test scheelite‑bearing skarn mineralisation along historic workings and aim to support a maiden mineral resource estimate. Viking’s managing director Julian Woodcock highlighted that tungsten prices have risen to multiyear highs, emphasizing the strategic importance of tungsten as a critical mineral for defence and industry.

Vault Strategic Mining (TSX‑V:KNOX) is awaiting assay results for 42 rock and soil samples collected during phase‑one exploration at its War Bond Tungsten Project, also in Nevada. The samples were sent to ALS Geochemistry for analysis of conventional and strategic metals. Results will be incorporated into a maiden NI 43‑101 technical report to refine exploration priorities and guide future drill targeting. War Bond covers historic tungsten mine areas in the Delaware mining district, with historical assays indicating scheelite grades up to 14.40% WO₃. Tungsten is classified as a critical mineral by the US and Canada.
