Nevşehir's 2026 Culture Route Festival Kicks Off August 1

Turkey's Ministry of Culture and Tourism is launching the 2026 Culture Route Festival in Nevşehir, Cappadocia, from 1 – 9 August. The nine‑day program turns the region into a hub of music, visual arts, theatre, workshops and gastronomy.

Free concerts feature popular Turkish singers such as Hakan Altun, Buray, Sefo, Merve Özbey, Alişan, Oğuzhan Koç, Bengü and Gökhan Türkmen. The 7th International Kapadokya Hot‑Air Balloon Festival will see 35 balloons—including 25 custom designs—fill the sky, complemented by night‑glow shows. Gastronomy events, backed by Michelin‑starred chefs, will showcase local specialties like testi kebabı and çömlek fasulyesi. Traditional‑craft workshops, children's activities and exhibitions highlight Cappadocia’s cultural heritage.
