New childcare and preschool facilities open in Pogwizdów and Ostrow Lubelski

New childcare and educational facilities have opened in the Polish municipalities of Pogwizdów and Ostrow Lubelski.

In Pogwizdów, the opening of a nursery and preschool complex was supported by over 7 million PLN in funding from the ‘Aktywny Maluch 2022–2029’ program via the National Recovery Plan (KPO). An additional 3 million PLN from the European Funds for Social Development (FERS) program has been allocated to cover the facility's operating costs for its first three years. This development is part of a broader regional effort in Podkarpacie to increase childcare availability; the number of nursery places in the region has grown from 10,075 to 14,895, and the number of municipalities without such services has decreased from 80 to 26.

In Ostrow Lubelski, a new nursery and preschool building was inaugurated on Batorego Street. The ceremony, attended by local officials including Mayor Włodzimierz Kołton, marked the completion of a modern facility designed to provide safe and comfortable conditions for early childhood education and care.
