New Democracy offices targeted in series of attacks in Athens

Three separate attacks targeting New Democracy political offices occurred within a 24-hour period in Athens. Unknown perpetrators used paint and vandalism to target the offices of party members and officials.

The incidents included the 6th Municipal Local Organization offices in Kypseli, where windows were broken and paint was thrown, the political office of Andreas Loverdos in Dafni, which was targeted with red paint, and the office of Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance Nikos Papathanasi in Marousi.

New Democracy issued a statement condemning the actions as attempts at intimidation, stating, “The Democracy is not terrorized, the New Democracy is not intimidated.” The party called on other political parties to publicly condemn the attacks and expressed confidence that the Greek police would identify the perpetrators.
