New indie game demos released for The Last Brazilian and Prison of Husks

Two new independent video game demonstrations have been released, showcasing distinct artistic styles and genres.

Estúdio Coração has released a free demo for The Last Brazilian on PC. The title features pixel art inspired by 16-bit era RPGs and presents a futuristic vision of Brazil, incorporating political satire and local cultural references. While the visual identity and concept have been praised, early feedback notes that the gameplay mechanics, specifically character movement and controls, require further refinement.

Glass Head Dolls, in partnership with Wings, has launched a free Steam demo for Prison of Husks. This soulslike RPG utilizes a low-polygon aesthetic reminiscent of the PlayStation 1 era, employing a 4:3 aspect ratio to enhance its gothic horror atmosphere. Set in the desolate world of Lysiane, the game features aggressive combat, magic, and firearms. The full version is scheduled for release on January 27, 2027.
