New Jersey Devils announce roster changes and 2026-27 theme nights

The New Jersey Devils have undergone significant roster changes and announced their promotional schedule for the 2026–27 season.

On the roster front, the team has bolstered its forward depth and goaltending. Key additions include Anthony Mantha, signed to a two-year deal, and Evan Rodrigues, acquired from Florida. Other new additions include Jesper Boqvist, Ben Steeves, and defenseman Declan Chisholm. The team also signed Arseny Gritsyuk to a three-year contract and added goaltending depth with David Rittich. These moves follow the departure of longtime starter Jacob Markstrom.

Regarding fan engagement, the Devils revealed a schedule of 10 theme nights and giveaways. Notable events include the team's first K-Pop night on October 22nd, a Devils Down the Shore night in December, and a Thanksgiving Week Kickoff featuring a Devils Butter Bench giveaway. Other scheduled events include Military Appreciation Night, Hockey Fights Cancer, and a Youth Hockey Day featuring Arseny Gritsyuk figurine bag tags.
