New Jersey Devils announce leadership changes and front office hires

The New Jersey Devils have announced several key organizational changes as players report to training camp. Jesper Bratt has been named an alternate captain, joining Jack Hughes as an alternate under captain Nico Hischier. Head coach Sheldon Keefe and general manager Sunny Mehta selected Bratt for the leadership role, citing his determination and consistency. Bratt is the second player in franchise history to record five consecutive 70-point seasons.

In front office developments, the Devils hired Jessica Campbell as the manager of hockey development. Campbell, who previously served as the first woman to be a full-time on-bench assistant coach in the NHL with the Seattle Kraken, joins the organization following the expiration of her contract. Additionally, Bryan McCabe has been appointed as the VP of prospect personnel and assistant general manager of the Utica Comets.
