New Jersey Devils look to ease Nico Hischier's defensive workload

New Jersey Devils captain Nico Hischier is expected to see a shift in defensive deployment as the team seeks to alleviate his heavy workload. Data indicates Hischier has frequently faced top-tier competition, which has impacted his offensive production. Head coach Sheldon Keefe suggested that the addition of Cody Glass, a player with high-percentile defensive impact, will allow the team to distribute difficult matchups more effectively across the roster.

Off the ice, Hischier has expanded his interests into the business and wellness sectors. He has become an investor and ambassador for Sensopro, a company producing the Sensopro Luna, a device designed to improve balance, coordination, and stability through brain-movement interaction. Hischier expressed a desire to apply his curiosity to professional development and help his teammates utilize such training tools.
