New Jersey ranks among most beautiful and high-maintenance US states

Recent studies have highlighted New Jersey residents in various lifestyle and appearance rankings. According to research by Hubmed Ed, New Jersey ranks as the 10th most beautiful state in America. The study evaluated residents based on criteria such as skin quality, facial harmony, grooming, style, charisma, and smile.

In a separate study by Textla.com regarding “high-maintenance” states—defined as an obsession with self-care and cosmetic treatments—New Jersey ranked second in the nation, following New York. The state’s ranking is attributed to a high concentration of professionals such as plastic surgeons, hairdressers, and manicurists, specifically noting that New Jersey has the highest number of hairdressers and cosmetologists per capita in the country.
