New Jersey lifestyle and environmental rankings

New Jersey has appeared in several recent studies regarding resident lifestyle and environmental characteristics. Research by Hubmed Ed ranked the state as the 10th most beautiful in the U.S., evaluating factors such as skin quality, grooming, and charisma. Additionally, a study by Textla.com identified New Jersey as the second most ‘high-maintenance’ state, noting a high concentration of cosmetic and grooming professionals per capita.

Further studies have focused on activity and environmental factors. A ranking by BetUS identified Newark and Jersey City as top destinations for adventure seekers, with Newark ranking third and Jersey City fifth nationally based on proximity to thrill-seeking activities.

Recent data has highlighted the state’s environmental and paranormal standing. A study by Manhattan Mental Health Counseling identified New Jersey as the loudest state in the lower 48 United States, citing high population density and commuter traffic as primary contributors to noise levels. In a separate study by AnswerSocrates, New Jersey ranked 50th out of 50 states for being ‘haunted,’ earning a score of only 13 out of 100. Despite this low ranking, the study noted that residents maintain a high interest in paranormal topics, particularly regarding the ‘Jersey Devil’ legend.
