New leadership appointments in Peru and Colombia

In Peru, the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations has officially appointed Félix Villegas Reaño as the new executive director of the National Comprehensive Program for Family Welfare (Inabif). The new administration aims to improve service quality and coverage, modernize institutional processes, and close existing service gaps to better protect children, adolescents, and families at risk.

In Colombia, Andrés Felipe Velásquez Reyes has been named the new director of the National Tax and Customs Directorate (DIAN). Velásquez assumes leadership during a critical period, tasked with maintaining tax collection and managing customs control following a major earthquake on August 10. The DIAN has already proposed measures to suspend customs deadlines and extend tax obligations in several departments affected by the seismic event to prevent compliance issues.
