New maternity support initiatives launched in Spain
New social and municipal initiatives have been launched in Spain to support pregnant women and families facing vulnerability.
In Seville, the Asociación Ángel Moliní – Dar Vida was officially presented at the Ateneo de Sevilla. The organization was founded by a group of individuals aiming to provide comprehensive support to pregnant women and mothers experiencing loneliness, lack of resources, or social abandonment. The initiative seeks to transform personal commitment into structured action to assist those in difficult circumstances.
Simultaneously, the City Council of Ciudad Real has established the Municipal Office for Maternity Care. This resource, managed through the Department of Family, offers guidance during pregnancy, postpartum, and child-rearing. In collaboration with Gabinete Sophya, the office will host a series of five sessions between October and December. These sessions are designed for pregnant women, new parents, single-parent families, and caregivers, covering topics such as emotional preparation for parenthood, maintaining healthy support networks, and navigating parenting after a separation.
