New modular camper vans debut: Vantrack LightCamp for Kia EV and Westfalia Columbus Liner

Vantrack has unveiled the LightCamp, a removable modular camper kit built for the all‑electric Kia PV5 van. The system slides into the vehicle, preserving weekday cargo space, and offers a dual‑level sleeping layout for up to four people, an extendable cabin platform, inflatable pads, and a rooftop tent accessed through a skylight. A slide‑out kitchen includes an induction cooktop, sink with portable tap and a detachable outdoor cooking frame, while the van’s high‑voltage battery powers climate controls and small appliances in camp mode.

German maker Westfalia introduced the Columbus Liner, a premium camper based on a Fiat Ducato chassis. Priced from €105,000, the 6.36‑metre vehicle features a three‑level interior with a Sky Lounge, a flexible bathroom that converts between sink, toilet and shower, and a fully equipped kitchen that can be ordered with gas or induction cooking. The layout includes a raised driver’s cabin, floor heating, and a modular design aimed at delivering luxury‑class comfort in a compact van platform.
