New Patriotic Party urges delegate eligibility verification for October 3 conference

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has directed delegates to verify their voting eligibility via the party’s official website ahead of the National Delegates Conference scheduled for October 3, 2026. The National Officers Elections Committee (NOEC) is overseeing the process to prevent disputes during the gathering, which serves as the party’s first major internal event since its 2024 election defeat.

To verify status, delegates must enter their phone number or voter ID on the website to receive a One-Time Password (OTP). NOEC Chairman Frederick Opare-Ansah stated that the final delegates register is complete and available for collection by aspirants or their representatives.

The elections will be conducted by the Electoral Commission under NOEC supervision, with coordination from the Ghana Police Service to ensure a secure and transparent process. The conference is expected to shape the party’s internal leadership and strategic direction leading into the 2028 general elections.
