New police chiefs assume duties in Iğdır and Erzurum

New police chiefs have officially assumed their duties in the Turkish provinces of Iğdır and Erzurum.

Eraslan Er has begun his tenure as the Provincial Police Chief of Iğdır. In a commencement message, Er emphasized that his administration will prioritize the rule of law, respect for human rights, and the protection of life and property. He highlighted the importance of building public trust through strong communication and a commitment to justice, impartiality, and meritocracy.

In Erzurum, Mahmut Ay has taken office as the Provincial Police Chief following a presidential decree. Ay stated that the primary objective of his term is to strengthen the peace and security of the city to ensure citizens feel safe. He pledged to fight crime and criminals with determination while maintaining cooperation with local governments, public institutions, and civil society organizations.
