New police complex inaugurated in Juan Dolio, Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic government has inaugurated a modern police complex in Juan Dolio, located in the municipality of Guayacanes. The project, executed with an investment exceeding 55 million pesos, aims to strengthen citizen security and optimize the operational response of the National Police in this key tourist area.

The infrastructure includes a new two-story police station equipped with specialized areas for receiving complaints, criminal investigations, independent cells, and residential spaces for officers. The project also involved the comprehensive remodeling of the Sgto. Roberto Mercedes Department, providing renovated facilities for the Central Directorate of Investigation (DICRIM) and the General Directorate of Transit and Land Transport Security (DIGESETT).

Officials noted that the complex will directly benefit approximately 2,400 residents while safeguarding the thousands of tourists who visit the coastline. The facilities also feature a fully furnished kitchen and dining area to improve the working and resting conditions of the police personnel.
