New preschool facilities open or near completion in Vukovar and Prijedor
New preschool facilities have been completed or are nearing completion in Prijedor and Vukovar, aimed at improving early childhood education and increasing capacity.
In the Pećani settlement of Prijedor, Prime Minister Savo Minić announced that a new kindergarten with a capacity for 220 children is expected to be operational within approximately two months. The Government of Republika Srpska provided an additional 1.5 million KM to finalize the construction and equipment of the facility, which features modern amenities including climate control and enhanced sanitary facilities.
In Vukovar, Croatia, a new modern preschool facility valued at 6.7 million EUR has officially opened on Olajnica. The project, which can accommodate 248 children across 14 new groups, was funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the Fund for Reconstruction and Development of the City of Vukovar, and the municipal budget. Mayor Marijan Pavliček noted that the facility represents a significant advancement in the quality of preschool education for the region.
