New retail stores open in Okayama and Ibaraki as Japan's shopping centres expand

A vintage clothing shop called Cinq is scheduled to open on July 31, 2026 in the OKADA Building on the second floor of the Omote‑cho shopping street in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture. The shop will operate from 13:00 to 20:00 and will feature a range of second‑hand apparel.

In Ibaraki Prefecture, the IEEAS Tsukuba shopping complex will welcome two new retailers in August 2026. The recovery‑wear shop ReD will open on August 5 on the second floor between Cosmura and Parts Club, offering clothing designed to promote blood circulation and fatigue recovery. A Docomo Shop Satellite will open on August 7 on the first floor between Legal Shoes a.k.a. and Optic Parimiki, with a promotional campaign running through August 31. The same week, the Nomura Securities Tsukuba branch moved from IEEAS Tsukuba to a nearby location called Deal Tsukuba.
