New South Wales highways closed following major vehicle accidents

Multiple vehicle accidents in New South Wales have resulted in significant road closures.

South of Bodalla and north of Narooma, a multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle has closed the Princes Highway in both directions. Reports indicate the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries, and a passenger from another vehicle was transported to Moruya Hospital. Emergency responders, including two ambulances and a helicopter, attended the scene. Drivers are advised to divert via the Snowy Mountains, Monaro, and Kings Highways, though this may add approximately four hours to travel times.

In a separate incident east of Lithgow, a collision between a car and a truck on Chifley Road at Scenic Hill caused the truck to roll onto its side. Emergency services had to free a driver in his 60s from the overturned vehicle. While the driver of the car sustained minor injuries, both parties involved refused transport to the hospital. The road remains closed in both directions as heavy towing operations continue.
