New sports facilities completed in Tecuci and Timișoara
New sports infrastructure has been completed in two Romanian locations. In Tecuci, the Constantin Păunescu Special School received a new 263 square meter sports hall. Funded by the Galați County Council with an investment exceeding 1.4 million lei, the facility is designed for approximately 160 students with special needs. The hall includes modern air conditioning, changing rooms, sanitary facilities, and equipment for gymnastics, handball, and basketball.
In Timișoara, the Costică Rădulescu sports base has officially been received following a project that spanned nearly five years. The complex, funded through the National Investment Company, features a regulation-size football pitch with floodlights and a 500-seat stand, alongside a multifunctional court for mini-football, handball, and basketball. The project faced significant delays due to the original contractor's insolvency and subsequent site abandonment, but is now moving through final administrative stages for public use.
