New summer menus and eateries debut in Akita and Fukuoka, Japan

Akita’s roadside station “道の駅うご” marked its 10‑year anniversary on 18 July 2026 by launching two limited‑time summer dishes. One of the items is a cold soba noodle called “端縫いそば冷麺,” priced at ¥1,000 and served with locally sourced cucumber, tomato, green onion and egg.

In Fukuoka, the izakaya “宴 UTAGE 天神西通り店” opened on 17 July 2026 in the Tenjin West‑Street area. The venue offers an all‑you‑can‑eat plan covering more than 220 dishes, including ten varieties of gyoza and a full range of izakaya fare. To celebrate the launch, a two‑day promotion lets customers buy draft beer (17 July) and lemon sour or highball (18 July) for ¥1 per drink, unlimited in quantity. The restaurant can accommodate small groups in private rooms and larger parties of up to 60 guests.
