New support initiatives launched for people with disabilities in San Marino and Italy

In San Marino, a new center named “I Pianeti” has been inaugurated in Borgo Maggiore. Operated by the Institute for Social Security, the center is designed to support families of individuals with disabilities through psychological assistance, orientation, and mutual aid groups. The facility aims to provide structured support for caregivers and siblings, assisting with life transitions such as diagnosis, schooling, and the move toward adult autonomy.

In Sicily, Italy, social cooperatives ConSenso and Borgo Blu have launched “Vùci,” a project focused on professional inclusion and talent recognition for people with disabilities. The initiative seeks to transform individual abilities into employment opportunities through training and community participation. The project is debuting with a solidarity Christmas box featuring artisanal products, including pasta, tomato sauce, and almond biscuits, produced by the cooperatives.
