New theatrical productions scheduled for Athens

Athens is set to host two distinct theatrical productions this November. Giannis Dalianis returns to the Apo Michanis Theatre with ‘Imeri, the Anatomy of a Fall,’ a theatrical adaptation of Fyodor Dostoevsky’s work. The production explores themes of isolation, power, and social alienation through a lens that connects the classic Russian literature to contemporary societal issues.

Additionally, rapper Vevilos will make his theatrical debut in ‘Thyra Miden’ (Gate Zero), directed by Athina Chatzithanasiou. Premiering at the Vembo Theatre on November 23, the play merges rap music with drama to examine the roots of fan violence, specifically referencing events from 2006. The performance will feature a ten-member cast and live musical performances by Vevilos, combining social commentary with live music.
