New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart ruled out for season after knee injury
New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart has been ruled out for the remainder of the season following a serious knee injury sustained during a game against the Los Angeles Rams. An MRI revealed damage to his MCL, PCL, and meniscus, requiring surgery.
In response to Dart's absence, the Giants have turned to veteran Jameis Winston, who is expected to start against the Tennessee Titans. While Winston provides a different, more traditional dropback passing style compared to Dart's mobility, the team is also actively exploring veteran options to bolster their quarterback room. Potential targets reportedly include Jimmy Garoppolo, Justin Fields, and J.J. McCarthy.
Separately, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels is managing an elbow dislocation. While he is expected to return in approximately one month through rehabilitation and bracing, the injury has drawn attention within the league. Former NFL running back Marshawn Lynch also commented on the recent wave of quarterback injuries during a podcast episode, offering humorous remarks regarding the recovery of Daniels and Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams.
