New York Stock Exchange adopts Anthropic AI to bolster cybersecurity
The New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) has implemented Anthropic’s ‘Claude Mythos Preview’ model to strengthen its cybersecurity architecture. This deployment is part of a specialized initiative known as ‘Project Glasswing,’ designed for deep code analysis and the detection of digital vulnerabilities.
During testimony before the House Financial Services Committee, NYSE President Lynn Martin stated that the technology has helped the exchange identify and remediate security flaws, some of which had reportedly existed in the codebase for decades. The initiative aims to proactively secure trading platforms by uncovering risks that traditional methods might miss.
Project Glasswing, launched by Anthropic in April 2026, has expanded beyond major technology partners like Apple and Google to include approximately 150 organizations in sectors such as healthcare, communications, and power utilities. Intercontinental Exchange, the parent company of the NYSE, has deployed the model across all its platforms. Early reports from partners indicate that the model has improved bug discovery rates by more than tenfold.
