Expansion of Anthropic’s Project Glasswing
Overview
Anthropic’s Project Glasswing, an invitation-only program providing vetted organizations with access to advanced, cyber-capable AI models, has seen increasing adoption across various financial and technical sectors.
In August 2026, Payward, the parent company of the Kraken cryptocurrency exchange, joined the program to utilize the Claude Mythos 5 model. Payward aims to use the AI to scan its technical infrastructure for security flaws and has committed to reporting vulnerabilities found in third-party open-source software to strengthen the broader ecosystem.
By September 2026, the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) also implemented the ‘Claude Mythos Preview’ model through Project Glasswing. NYSE President Lynn Martin testified that the technology has assisted in identifying and remediating security flaws, including some that had existed in the codebase for decades. The program, which launched in April 2026, has expanded to include approximately 150 organizations across sectors such as healthcare, communications, and power utilities, with some partners reporting that the model has improved bug discovery rates by more than tenfold.
