New Zealand tourism sector sees incentive programs and workforce expansion
Tourism New Zealand and WellingtonNZ have launched an incentive program for Australian travel advisors. Participants who complete an advanced cuisine training course through the 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist Programme can enter to win a food-focused weekend in Wellington. The prize includes return flights, accommodation at the James Cook Hotel Grand Chancellor, and various local experiences such as winery tours, food tours, and cultural excursions.
Separately, Intrepid Travel is expanding its presence in New Zealand by recruiting three new sales and customer service consultants in Auckland. The company stated that the expansion aims to provide local travel advisors with better access to expertise, faster response times, and stronger day-to-day support. The new roles will operate on a hybrid model and offer various professional development opportunities.
