Neymar linked to R$90.5 million Santos debt and $7.5 billion Alagoas housing project
Santos Football Club acknowledged a debt of R$90.5 million to NR Sports, the firm that manages Neymar's image‑rights. The amount is outlined in a contract amendment signed on 6 April 2026, with R$26 million already overdue and the remainder due later. The club pledged its Meninos da Vila training centre as collateral, and the agreement directs that a €2 million receivable from Shakhtar Donetsk be applied to the overdue balance. Santos reported a payment of roughly R$11 million to NR Sports.
Separately, Neymar, as a partner in the developer DUE, is promoting the Rota DUE Caribe Brasileiro, a luxury real‑estate programme stretching from Pernambuco to Alagoas. The plan includes 28 upscale projects over about 100 km, with a total sales value estimated at R$7.5 billion. In Alagoas, the flagship UNIC Japaratinga condominium will contain 99 four‑suite houses priced from R$5 million, slated for delivery later this year, while another high‑end development is slated for Maragogi.
