NGO forums held in Bieszczady and Kartuzy regions

Two regional forums for non-governmental organizations (NGOs) were recently held in Poland, focusing on community development and security.

The V Bieszczady Forum of NGOs and Rural Housewives' Circles took place in Ustrzyki Dolne. Under the theme ‘Conscious Volunteer - Ordinary Person or Hero’, the event brought together representatives from 25 organizations to discuss volunteer recruitment, social media marketing, grant acquisition, and psychological resilience. The forum included workshops on simplified accounting and social resilience, alongside a debate on the role of volunteering in building community strength.

In the Kartuzy County, the III Forum of NGOs was held in Tuchom. This meeting focused on resident safety, civil defense, and the protection of critical infrastructure. Key discussions included the role of NGOs in local security, the use of artificial intelligence in the third sector, and managing online hate. Local officials highlighted the importance of cross-sector cooperation, noting that Kartuzy County allocates approximately 500,000 PLN annually to projects implemented by the third sector.
