NGO Paidiki Chara investigated for alleged 3 million euro fraud

The NGO Paidiki Chara is under investigation following allegations that it misappropriated approximately 3 million euros in donations intended for sick children. Authorities are examining claims that the organization collected funds for medical treatments but failed to distribute them to the intended recipients.

One victimized family, parents of a 5-year-old girl with brain cancer, reported that the NGO allegedly used altered photos and incorrect details of their child in fundraising campaigns without consent. The father claimed that after requesting a detailed breakdown of donations, he received less than 25,000 euros in a physical envelope rather than the expected full amount.

Another family, whose child suffers from cancer, is pursuing legal action after their private fundraising account was reportedly targeted by the NGO. The family intends to file a formal complaint in Thessaloniki to hold the organization accountable for its actions.
