Vietnam media sector undergoes leadership and organizational restructuring

Vietnam's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Hanoi municipal government have announced several high-level personnel appointments and organizational restructuring within the media sector.

At the national level, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism appointed Lê Quang Tự Do as the Director of the Press Department. Additionally, Lưu Đình Phúc has been appointed Director of the Department of Publishing and Libraries, while Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Lan will lead the Department of Electronic Information and Digital Transformation.

In Hanoi, the city's press and broadcasting apparatus is undergoing a major reorganization. Nguyễn Thanh Liêm has been appointed General Director of the Hanoi Press and Broadcasting Agency, following a new operational model designed to create a multi-platform, multimedia media entity. Simultaneously, the Hanoi Journalists Association held its 8th Congress, electing Nguyễn Thanh Liêm as its Chairman for the 2026-2031 term. The association aims to modernize its workforce and adapt to new media environments.
